Ridgewood Park United Methodist Church is looking for a new Youth Director. We are a neighborhood church primarily serving the communities of East Dallas and Lake Highlands. We are looking for someone who is passionate about the spiritual formation of teenagers.

Responsibilities:

• Develop events like Sunday school, small groups, confirmation, retreats, and special events
• Lead weekly youth activities
• Coordinate and manage youth camps, retreats, and mission trips
• Communicate in a timely manner with youth, parents, and volunteers
• Participate in Sunday worship and various all-church events
• Ensure that Ministry Safe policies are observed in all ministry settings
• Recruit and train volunteers
• Administrative duties including but not limited to tracking attendance, developing promotional materials, and running social media
• Manage budgets & coordinate fundraisers as needed
• *May also participate in and lead other areas of ministry as desired

Qualifications

• Must embrace United Methodist theology and be LGBTQ+ friendly
• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
• Prior experience preferred

This position is part-time. Compensation will be commensurate with experience. The Youth Director reports to the Senior Pastor.
