Youth Ministry

Our teenage years are some of the most formational and challenging years of a person's life. We believe that a foundation of faith will help our youth enter adulthood in the most balanced and healthy way.

"Adolescents who claim to have a personal relationship with the Divine are only half as likely to become alcoholics or drug addicts, or for that matter even to try contraband drugs like marijuana and cocaine.” - The Spiritual Child by Dr. Lisa Miller.

We believe that a spiritual and emotional home is not only good for a teenager's soul, but vital to their survival. At Ridgewood Park, we strive to build lifelong relationships that will help our teenagers develop a support system during a very critical and awkward time in their lives, and give them a faith foundation that will help them enter adulthood as mature and confident disciples of Jesus Christ. Our youth program offers a variety of opportunities for teenagers to find their place in the church community.

  • Sunday School

Our church-wide Sunday School hour is from 9:30 – 10:30am. In the youth ministry, this is a gathering time for learning and discussion, with each month focusing on a different topic or theme. During this hour, youth get to spend time learning about God before heading off to raid the donut table at Coffee Fellowship.

  • Sunday Night Youth Group

Join us every Sunday night from 5:30-7:30pm for a gathering and meeting with grade level-based small groups and games. This is a great time to connect with your peers, talk about things that matter in your life as a teenager, and enjoy games and activities with friends and family. Our church facilities offers great spaces for youth with a gym and a huge youth room complete with game tables, couches, and a full kitchen for meals and snacks!

  • Trips & Retreats

Every year our youth take lots of trips that are favorites among our youth. We typically attend MidWinter camp in January/February, summer camp, and a summer mission trip!
